Children's Day

In South Korea, May 5th is officially recognized as Children's Day. Parents often give presents to their children, as well as spend time with them. The children are taken on excursions to zoos and museums. Therefore we get the day off too!!

The day before we had a fun day for all the children at school. In the morning, their P.E. teachers planned events outside and inside.

The children had a relay race. They ran to the table, bobbed for a candy (big ball) and ran back to their team. Can I say dangerous??

This is Hannah. You have to meet her to understand but this picture makes me laugh out loud every time. She is a character.

Caught on candid camera!

The kids then bobbed for treats on a string!

Another relay race....

Inside the children had relay races and tug-a-wars. (the tug-a-wars were too funny)

This puppet show was hilarious. There was smoke and lasers!!!! It was all in Korean but what I could make out of it... a cat stole a fish but lyed about it. Moral of the puppet show... don't lie!!!
